1. Who we are

The English Spring (“we”, “us”, this “website”) is an English listening website that publishes short audio episodes with full transcripts for language learners. You can reach us at snuggarden0328@gmail.com.

2. Data we collect

This website does not require registration or login, does not use advertising or analytics trackers, and does not collect or store any personally identifiable information about its visitors on our servers.

The only data stored on a visitor’s device is local browser storage used by the playlist feature:

• Playlist items — the episodes you add to your playlist, kept in your browser’s local storage under the key eas-playlist.
• Anonymous device identifier — a randomly generated UUID stored under the key eas-device-id, used only to associate your playlist with this browser. It contains no personal information and is never transmitted to us.

This data never leaves your browser. Clearing your browser’s site data removes it entirely.

3. Cookies

We do not set any tracking, advertising, or analytics cookies. The website functions fully without cookies.

4. Use of YouTube Data API services

We use the YouTube Data API v3 to upload video files that we produce ourselves to a YouTube channel that we own and operate. This website itself does not embed, stream from, or otherwise interact with YouTube’s embedded player or YouTube API services at runtime; the API is used only on our side as an authorized publisher of our own content.

4.1 YouTube API Services disclosure

Our use of YouTube API Services adheres to the YouTube API Services Terms of Service. By using our website or services, you hereby acknowledge and agree that:

• Our use of YouTube API Services is subject to the YouTube API Services Terms of Service at https://developers.google.com/youtube/terms/api-services-terms-of-service.
• Your use of our website or services is also subject to the YouTube Terms of Service (https://www.youtube.com/t/terms).
• Google’s privacy policy, available at https://policies.google.com/privacy, governs Google’s processing of data when YouTube API Services are used.

4.2 YouTube data we access

We do not request, access, or store any YouTube user data from website visitors. We do not offer YouTube sign-in, and visitors to this website are never asked to connect a YouTube or Google account.

The only OAuth 2.0 authorization we hold is our own administrator account on our own YouTube channel, used exclusively for publishing video files that we produce. The tokens associated with this single account are stored privately on our infrastructure and are never shared, sold, or transferred to any third party.

4.3 Storage, retention, and deletion of YouTube data

We do not cache, store, or retain any YouTube user data beyond what is necessary to perform an upload. Upload responses (such as the returned video ID) are stored solely as operational records of our own publications and contain no personal data. Because we do not collect YouTube user data, there is no visitor data to review or delete.

4.4 Revoking authorization

If at any point an authorization for our application to access a YouTube account exists, the account holder may revoke it at any time via the Google security settings page at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions. We honor and immediately cease all API calls upon such revocation.

5. Content sources and copyright

The audio episodes published on this website and the videos we upload to YouTube are produced by us for educational listening purposes. We respect the rights of original content creators. If you are a rights holder and believe any content we have published infringes your rights, contact us at snuggarden0328@gmail.com and we will promptly review and, where appropriate, remove the material in question.

6. Third-party links

This website may contain links to external websites. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites. Please review their own privacy policies before providing them with any personal information.

7. Server logs

Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) may process standard technical request logs (such as IP address, user agent, and requested URL) for security and operational purposes, under Cloudflare’s own privacy policy. We do not use these logs to profile or identify individual visitors.

8. Children’s privacy

This website is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page indicates the most recent revision.
